arQuote[0] = new Array("When I went over my report I learned that there were things I was good at. There were also things I needed to work on. In the report there were different things to look at to help me figure out how I can learn better. I had choices and I made the decision on what to do and how. That is good. I feel more involved.","Pete C., UT");

arQuote[2] = new Array("I have a Master’s Degree in Special Education and Learning Disabilities. I never felt like I knew anything. This training was like a Master’s Degree Program in real, helpful knowledge. Talk about empowered! Now, I KNOW how to empower my students too! PowerPath is the approach that puts it all together and my students are showing tremendous success.","Terry M., MT");
arQuote[3] = new Array("The PowerPath screenings were eye-opening. For example, with one student I discovered that his glasses had two different colored lenses in them, one of which he could not see through. Another student who has been classified as learning disabled for many years has discovered ways to “learn around” some of her previous learning blocks. She is great at listening and learning, but terrible at reading the materials herself. Along with working on building her reading skills, she will now use a tape recorder to record what she needs to learn, such as the Virginia State Driver’s Manual for Learners. I believe this makes her feel more in control of her own possibilities. Three out of four students in our Big 4 files really like the colored overlays, and have expressed “a-ha” when they saw what the intervention can do for them.","Donna K., VA");
arQuote[4] = new Array("In our 6/07 year we had 417 students go through at least the Big 4 at orientation. Of these students, 406 showed up for classes after completing orientation! This is a dynamic retention rate for our program! In the past we may have had more students attend orientation, but then so many fell through the cracks and disappeared.","Holly P., OH");
arQuote[5] = new Array("Implementing PowerPath has had a huge impact on persistence in our program. Students that would have previously fallen through the cracks or dropped out are returning to our program in record numbers. In fact, we have found an over 205% increase in contact hours for our PowerPath students compared to our non-PowerPath students! The increase in our student skill levels pre-post testing is also astounding. Using the PowerPath system is allowing us to help our learners stop the cycle of frustration and failure to succeed. ","Susan R., NM");
arQuote[6] = new Array("I appreciate the quality tool that PowerPath is and look forward to (the new software) as well as the Spanish protocols. Our whole program has progressed in the glow from PowerPath. The information gleaned is outstanding, the focus it gives the tutor and learner is phenomenal and the partnering has been embraced by everyone here in a fervent manner.

NWOLC is forever changed and we thank you.","Mary H., OK");
arQuote[7] = new Array("Excellent information. The approach is so practical yet based on solid research. This program has truly made the difference in helping and retaining the LD students in our program.","Margaret G., MT");
arQuote[8] = new Array("I have always had a problem reading stuff. I didn’t know that I was seeing words different from other people. I thought I was just stupid and I was embarrassed to let people know that I couldn’t read.","Roger B., AL");
arQuote[9] = new Array("I think the color overlay helps a lot. It helped take pressure off my eyes.","Rene B., OH ");
arQuote[10] = new Array("I noticed a dramatic physical change in Ryan when he began to read using various colored overlays. As we tried different colors and he rejected each, he visibly shook and jerked his head back when he saw the text under the blue overlay. Once he noticed the difference, he would not stop talking about how it makes his eyes feel comfortable and that it is clear and helps reduce light. He said the overlay will help him read better. When I gave him 2 blue overlays he thanked me and said he couldn’t believe I gave them to him for free. He also emphasized that we won’t want to lose them and will use them at home and in class. Screening revealed severe [visual stress syndrome].","Mary D., NJ");
arQuote[11] = new Array("Most of the students screened have had some needs that were in the individual reports. Each student was able to choose the interventions that they thought would most benefit them in their learning. All of the students choose to use an overlay. Many were awed by the difference it made!","Marjorie L., VA");
arQuote[12] = new Array("The second of my success stories occurred in the fall of 2006. I was working in a non-public high school. After receiving an IEP for a new student I met with him to discuss his prior services because he was a Junior with a 3.7 GPA and an honor student and had just received an IEP for the first time. I could not understand why he was just now getting a service plan after all these years and with such a successful GPA. I met with him shortly after the original meeting and we talked a bit about his study habits. He said he was studying for 4-6 hours a night because he would have to reread things so that he understood it. I then asked him some of the questions from the VSS sheet and he was off the charts. I then pulled out my overlays and within five minutes he was out of his chair telling his guidance counselor he really could read!

Since our discovery he retook the ACT and received a 29! With his increased GPA last year and this year he has been accepted to Georgetown, Providence and one other school of equal status. He sends his thanks to TLP and to Laura for their dedication to students just like him!

Thank you for helping us help others!","Monica W., OH");
